Crown per kilo

Crown per Kilo was a charitable project of the ASEKOL e-waste take-back collective scheme, which had been terminated on 31 December 2020 due to legislative changes.

Crown per Kilo was a joint project of the collective scheme ASEKOL and Národní rada osob se zdravotním postižením ČR (Czech National Disability Council, CNDC). For each kg of the electrical equipment thrown away through the red containers, ASEKOL donated CNDC one Czech crown. The goal of the project was to support the employment of disabled people. The project started back in 2015 and was successfully running until 2020, when it had to be terminated. Over the 6-year duration of Crown per Kilo, more than 4,000,000 CZK had been donated to CNDC.

The public was being informed about the project, inter alia, by graphics placed on stationary red containers. These graphics will be gradually removed as part of the maintenance and modernization of the collection system of the ASEKOL e-waste take-back collective scheme.

Over the 6-year of its duration, the Crown per Kilo project had generated over CZK 4,000,000 for CNDC.
