The ASEKOL compliance scheme values long-term cooperation with towns and regions that correctly sort e-waste. We would therefore like to appreciate their excellent e-waste collection results and their long-term efforts to spread awareness and promote the necessity of sorting e-waste, thereby making a significant long-term contribution to sustainable development and environmental protection.

The most active regions in the area of take-back of electrical equipment will be awarded based on the evaluation of the results of the “Active Region” competition. Awards for municipalities will be announced in the “Active Municipality” competition.  The awards for both these competitions will be announced during the Gala Evening, which will take place on 1 December 2022 at the Žofín Palace in Prague under the auspices of the Ministry of the Environment, the Association of Regions of the Czech Republic, the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic and the  Czech National Disability Council. It is a respected event that recognises the activity of regions and municipalities in the field of waste sorting with an educational and awareness-raising character.

Due to the variety of activities in the area of electrical sorting, two awards were announced as part of the ACTIVE REGION competition:

• Award for educational activity in the field of e-waste sorting and recycling
• Award for the largest quantity of e-waste collected

As for the ACTIVE MUNICIPALITY competition, which aims to support collection as well as education, these two awards will also be announced as part of the Gala Evening:

• Award for educational activity in the field of e-waste sorting and recycling
• Award for the largest quantity of e-waste collected

We look forward to the ceremonial announcement of these awards on 1 December 2022 at the Žofín Palace in Prague.
