ASEKOL partner of REUSE ELECTRONICS CIRCULATION PROJECT. This Saturday will be Reuse Day!
30. 10. 2024
Give your appliances a second chance! Got some electronics lying around at home that you’re planning to throw away but that still work or just need some minor repairs? We have a solution. The ASEKOL compliance scheme is a partner of the Electronics Circulation project organised by the non-profit organisation Let’s Fix Czechia.
This is a reuse project – once a month, the collection yard in Modřany will hold a reuse day, enabling you to bring in used electrical appliances that can still be repaired and given a new lease of life! This time the event will take place this Saturday, 2 November, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
So come along and put the electronics you no longer need back into circulation. The repair technicians at the Repair Shop will repair the electronics you bring in, check them, and then sell them at a good price at the reuse centre www.sto-re.cz in the Holešovice market and at www.o-shop.cz, or donate them to single mothers.
The appliances will then be serviced, minor repairs will be carried out as needed, after which they’ll be checked for safety, and then go on sale. This is a pilot project, which, if it proves to be economically sustainable, could be followed by the construction of a permanent reuse centre (an unheated metal hall roughly 20×40 metres in size, with 4 smaller heated cells to house workshops and offices) at one of the collection yards.
E-waste collection date: 2 November 2024, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Place: Modřany collection yard, white van with Repairsys sign
What you can bring along: All electronic appliances from lamps, computers, televisions to washing machines and cookers. Working or with a repairable defect.
