An event focused on collecting worn-out and obsolete electrical appliances will take place at Ostrava’s collection yards in October.

Residents can hand over old electrical and electronic equipment at a total of 12 locations. Small electronic gifts have been prepared for the first 50 people at each collection yard to hand over worn-out or obsolete electrical and electronic equipment. In addition, everyone who participates in this collection event can join a competition for a brand name tablet. The event has been organised as a joint project of the Moravian–Silesian Region and the Asekol not-for-profit organisation.

AUTUMN CLEANING will last from Wednesday, 1 October 2014 until Friday, 31 October 2014 during the opening hours of all 12 collection yards of the OZO Ostrava transport company. Torches and calculators will be prepared as small electronic gifts for the first 50 residents at each collection yard. In addition, anyone who brings worn-out or obsolete electrical and electronic equipment can complete a lottery ticket. At the beginning of November, one drawn winner will receive the main prize – a stylish Samsung tablet worth CZK 5,000.
