Prague residents set a record in recycling old computers

More than 11 tonnes of old computers turned in over 5 days

The inhabitants of Prague handed over a total of 1,291 old computers in the Prague Full of Computers competition. The people of the capital city thus supported a good cause, got rid of unused computers and helped their neighbourhoods win prizes for selected hospitals and children’s homes.

As a rule, about 80 computers are collected every 5 days, but thanks to this project we boosted this number by more than 15 times. The competition took place from 1 to 5 April and was organised by the non-profit organisation ASEKOL in co-operation with the City of Prague.
