The best cities and municipalities in the Zlín Region received prizes and financial rewards during the twelfth year of the traditional competition in waste sorting O keramickou popelnici. Certificates and checks were handed over to the winners in the categories of retired electrical equipment, with the participation of councilors for the environment and agriculture of the Zlín Region, Mrs Margita Balaštíková (ANO) and representatives of ASEKOL Michal Mazal, Operations Director, and Daniel Hladilín, Regional Manager for the Zlín Region.

The award from ASEKOL for the past year was gained by the municipality of Komárov, whose 339 inhabitants gathered incredible 350 kilograms of small electrical appliances and 358 kilograms of TV sets. The Ratiboř Municipality received the prize for collecting small equipment and batteries in red containers and developing the take-back. Every year, on average, each of the citizens sorted 0.7 kilograms of unused electricity into stationary containers. A special award for the exemplary cooperation with the companies is taken by Technical Services Vsetín s.r.o., which last year participated, among other things, in the project of sampling the share of television screens and computer monitors in the take-back.

In cooperation with ASEKOL, this year, among other things, the year will be similar to last year’s successful “Good Act for Mobile” event where funds for recruited retired mobile phones will be handed over to some of the elderly or children’s caregivers.
