Residents of the Usti and Liberec regions turned in over 2,500 worn-out electronic appliances while participating in the Collect and Win competition (1400 in the Liberec Region and 1150 in the Usti Region).

Anyone could join and win. All they needed to do was bring five electronic appliances to a collection yard, have their competition flyer stamped, fill in their contact information and send the flyer to us. The main prize in the competition was an Acer tablet computer. In last year’s collection, both regions had finished below the nationwide average. The Usti Region had even collected less than a kilogram per resident in 2013. That may be why the regions decided to step up their efforts and intensify the collection of electronic appliances in co-operation with the ASEKOL compliance scheme.
