The conference revolved around three important and topical themes: Digitisation and Innovation, Circular Economy and Resource Efficiency, and Extended Producer Responsibility.

WEEE FORUM, an European Association of Producer Responsibility Organisations (PROs) is celebrating 15th Anniversary. Therefore was organized a Conference in Malta, attended by world-renowned professors and professionals form the sector, together with the Prime Minister of Malta Dr. Joseph Muscat and Mr. Karmenu Vella, EU Comissioner for the Environment.

The conference revolved around three important and topical themes: Digitisation and Innovation, Circular Economy and Resource Efficiency, and Extended Producer Responsibility.

As representatives of more than 30 PROs have agreed, the public awareness is very important, take-back of electrical and electronic equipment collection quotas are growing. The linear economy needs to be changed in the future to circular economy and the share of secondary resources should increase.

ASEKOL is a member of WEEE Forum for all three countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland). We always have been very active in WEEE Forum structures and projects.
