In the fourth annual “Donate a mobile telephone and win a trip for your class” campaign, children from nursery, primary and secondary schools collected 16,275 used mobile telephones.

The event was organised by ASEKOL in co-operation with Recyklohraní, o.p.s. and 362 schools participated. Selected functional devices are being donated to organisations working with people having disabilities. The remaining non-functional mobile telephones will be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. The winner of the competition was the Javorník Nursery and Primary School from the Pardubice Region, which donated almost 19 mobile telephones per pupil. The Šikulové art club from the Liberec Region placed second with 17 telephones per student, and the Homole Children’s Diagnostic Institute and Children’s Home in České Budějovice placed third, having collected 12 mobile telephones per student.
